Gone are the days of writing letters,
Etching the words with care and love,
Painstakingly choosing the words
Which convey the feelings accurately.
The computer does it all for you
Changes the font in a jiffy,
Underlines the mistakes in red and green
Thesaurus supplies the work,
The wizard gives help on line.
It’s the end of individual creativity,
Spread of ‘artificial intelligence’.
The time spent in conversation,
Is replaced by computer games,
The quality time spent together by the family
Is devoured by the surfing.
It’s no doubt brought the world closer,
But has created crevices within the family.
The invasion has been slow but steady,
The awareness took a long time in coming,
It appears that there is no turning back
AI is the ‘need of the hour’,
Helps you to reach out to the distant places,
Even if there is hollowness within.
